Make-A-Wish Triathlon at Sea Colony
September 24, 2011 | Bethany Beach, Delaware

The Make-A-Wish Triathlon at Sea Colony is an exciting 1.5K ocean swim, 41K bike and 10K run for up to 1,000 athletes. Hosted in Bethany Beach, Del., the event is in its 28th year. Athletes can compete as an individual or as a member of a relay team. We are also excited to offer a new participation option at this year's Triathlon - AquaVelo! For athletes who prefer to swim and bike but not run, this course option is for you! The ocean swim, scenic bike and run courses and phenomenal post-race picnic make this race a favorite among both seasoned triathletes and weekend warriors. Sign up here!

 


 

Community Fundraising Events

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic benefits from fundraising events and partnerships with local businesses coordinated by members of our community. These fundraisers, independently organized on our behalf, raise awareness of our mission and bring the community together to support children's wishes. Bob Evans Stars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
May 12, 2011 through June 15, 2011 | Westminster Bob Evans Restaurant Locations

The Westminster Bob Evans restaurants will be selling paper stars to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. 100% of all proceeds from the star sales will benefit the Foundation.

Panera Bread, Operation Dough-Nation Community BreadboxTM   cash collection boxes

Now through December 2011 | Three Participating Panera Bread locations - Main Street, Newark, DE; Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE; Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic has been chosen as Panera Bread’s 2011 Operation Dough-Nation Community BreadboxTM recipient. Three Panera Bread locations in Delaware will be collecting donations to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. Donation boxes are located at the registers. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has partnerships with more than 80 corporations across the United States. By generously sponsoring events and promotions that benefit the Foundation, these companies play a significant role in enabling us to grant the wishes of local children battling life-threatening medical conditions.

 

Hard Rock Cafe
Hard Rock International is supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation through its Signature Series 28 program, a line of limited-edition T-shirts and pins designed by Ringo Starr. The merchandise is available both online and in select Hard Rock Cafe, hotel and casino locations worldwide, with 15% of the purchase price benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation via Ringo Starr’s charitable foundation, The Lotus Foundation. In addition, Hard Rock Cafes around the world will host wish celebrations throughout the month of April, in support of World Wish Day®. Eat-A-Dish for Make-A-Wish
Maggiano’s Little Italy locations across the country will encourage their customers to “Eat-A-Dish for Make-A-Wish” to help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The promotion includes donations triggered to the Foundation through the purchase of featured menu items and customer donations through the purchase of wish stars. COSCO® Products Support the Make-A-Wish Foundation®
From April 2011 to April 2012, Dorel Juvenile Group’s COSCO brand is donating $150,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make wishes come true for children across the country. Specially marked products, including the High Back Booster, Pronto! Booster and High Rise Booster Car Seat will feature the Make-A-Wish logo.  Shop Creative Memories’ Wishful Product Line and Help Make Wishes Come True

Creative Memories has selected the Make-A-Wish Foundation as its charity of choice to benefit from their specially created Wishful scrapbook line. This line is full of hope, strength and joy and was inspired by Make-A-Wish families. For every Wishful product purchased, Creative Memories will donate between $1 and $2 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
